XscapeWorks offers an immersive and interactive experience through its thrilling Charleston escape rooms, where participants engage in exciting escape room challenges set in various themed time periods.

The combination of Ancient Egypt and Future creates a captivating 1-hour experience. Note that this adventure features 'sudden surprises' throughout the interactive experiences; however, we can deactivate these jump scares upon request if you prefer a milder experience. 

- Ancient Egypt: Explore a creepy Egyptian tomb filled with large animatronic creatures and a few unexpected surprises.  

- Future: Enter a spooky lab with animatronic zombie figures, featuring mild scenes of blood and gore, along with some jump scares.  

**IMPORTANT:** This attraction contains flashing lights and is not recommended for ages 11 and under.

Medieval Quest offers a 60-minute adventure set in a Medieval castle, making it suitable for all ages. This experience culminates in a dramatic finale with a large animatronic dragon, ensuring a memorable ending without any jump scares.

Finally, the 1930s Gangster Hideout delivers a 60-minute experience within a 1930s house filled with secret passages and rooms. Please note, this challenge may not be appropriate for those under 12.

Egypt and Future 1 hour experience

Get ready for an immersive adventure in Charleston escape rooms. In this interactive experience, you will have 30 minutes to complete the escape room challenges of each time period, navigating through tasks to advance successfully to the next era. Should you not succeed within the 30 minutes in the first time period, you'll be paused and escorted back to the time machine for another attempt in the second time period. If you don’t succeed again, your experience will conclude, and you will be guided back to the lobby.

For your convenience, guests may request up to 3 hints per time period along with one free challenge pass if absolutely necessary.

NOTE: All participants are equipped with LED wristbands that provide notifications about the time elapsed in each time period.

Each Charleston escape room experience can be booked as either a public or private session. Public bookings allow anyone to join in with a group of up to 8 people, while private bookings ensure that the escape room challenges are reserved exclusively for those who made the reservation. Each booking is for the selected date and time, and everyone must check in upon arrival. Please arrive no later than 15 minutes before your scheduled time to fully enjoy these interactive experiences. Make sure to allow time for traffic and weather when planning your visit. All bookings are done in advance online; walkups are subject to availability and do not guarantee admission.

Rescheduling must be completed at least 48 hours before your scheduled time for our Charleston escape rooms. Late arrivals may not be admitted to the escape room challenges. Please note that there are no refunds for late arrivals or no-shows, and there are no refunds for not completing the interactive experiences for any personal reason. The attraction is indoors, and we are open rain or shine. No weapons of any kind are permitted, and smoking or vaping is not allowed. The use of mobile phones is prohibited within the experience, and no food or drinks are permitted. XscapeWorks can be fun for everyone, but please be aware that some experiences may be too intense for ages 11 and under.

We STRONGLY RECOMMEND a minimum group size of 4 people for our Charleston escape rooms. A minimum purchase of 4 is required for the 2-hour interactive experience. Each group can have a maximum of 8 participants. Tickets are available on an individual basis until the time slot is fully booked.
